            Will it flatten my car battery?

            Run it with the engine on and it draws from the alternator, not the battery — no problem on a drive. Parked with the engine off, a full boil pulls a fair bit of charge, so it's best used while you're moving or idling, the same as any 12 V kettle.

            How long does it take to boil?

            Roughly 15–20 minutes to bring 500 ml to the boil from cold on a 12 V socket. Keep-warm mode then holds your set temperature for the rest of the trip.

            Is it safe to leave plugged in?

            Yes — it has a dry-boil cut-off and an over-temperature chip that stops heating on its own, plus an in-line fuse on the lead. Keep it upright on a flat surface and never heat it with the lid screwed fully shut.
