The Larkspire AirSense puts a live read on your indoor air — particulates, CO₂, formaldehyde, VOCs, temperature and humidity — on a bright colour screen, with WiFi alerts to your phone when something climbs too high.
What it tracks
- Particulates — PM0.3, PM1.0, PM2.5 and PM10 (dust, smoke, bushfire haze, pollen)
- Gases — CO₂, CO, formaldehyde (HCHO) and total VOCs from paint, furniture and cleaning products
- Comfort — temperature and relative humidity
- Overall AQI — one number, colour-coded green / amber / red

An honest note on accuracy
The AirSense uses consumer-grade semiconductor and laser sensors. It's excellent for spotting trends and relative changes — "the air got worse when I started cooking", "CO₂ climbs overnight in this bedroom" — but it isn't a laboratory instrument and shouldn't be relied on for regulatory or medical measurement. CO₂ readings respond to mixed ambient CO₂ such as exhaled breath, not pure CO₂.
